Here is an opportunity for graduates to gain experience in Airline operations/Resourcing, Forecasting and Planning for Air New Zealand

AirNZ has one year and two year fixed term opportunities for talented individuals with sound analytical, planning, forecasting and process development skills to join their Operations team who focus on Analysis, Planning, Resourcing and Rostering for their crew and pilots. These roles are to cover for employees who are working on some key projects and are based near Auckland Airport.

The ideal candidates have a strong desire to innovate and continually improve business processes. You are highly analytical yet able to translate data into meaningful advice and support. This calls for strong relationship management and interpersonal skills; a high level of maturity and collaborative approach to problem solving. Through your studies and any relevant commercial experience, you can demonstrate the ability to engage and influence others.

To be considered, a degree level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Management, Operations Research, and Bachelor of Commerce or similar is required.

  • As a Crew Planner – Manpower, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining crew plans and ensuring that the coordination of crew levels are optimised to meet proposed schedule requirements. Developing key stakeholder relationships and delivering outstanding service to your internal/external customers is paramount. Highly developed Excel skills are essential.
  • As a Crew Rosterer you will be responsible for the consistent delivery of timely, cost effective and highly optimised cabin and tech crew rosters. You will use sophisticated optimisation technologies to construct rosters that maximise crew utilisation rates within contractual, regulatory and safety constraints.
  • This is a demanding fast paced environment working with complex information. The ability to plan, forecast and analyse this information and then provide strong recommendations to key stakeholders is a key component of these role. Demonstrated experience in contributing to the planning of a complex business as part of the team utilising your strong Excel skills is essential.
  • To be successful in these roles you will be highly detail orientated and relish ownership in providing sound planning recommendations based on data analysis.
