National Māori Science Competition

Tēnā koutou katoa, he hōnore mā mātou e pānui tēnei kaupapa ki a koutou.

Te Mahe Matauranga; National Māori Science Competition is now open for application by kura, primary schools, Wharekura and secondary schools to apply to participate in Te Mahe Matauranga; National Māori Science Competition.

Up to 9 kura will be selected from this application process to submit their “science” project that must be aligned to the Te Mahe Matauranga; National Māori Science Competition criteria. We are inviting kura to apply by submitting and completing the attached
application form and sending us a short video on your kaupapa. Te Mahe Matauranga; National Māori Science Competition 2020 is a competition open to kura in New Zealand and the science projects must ensure Matauranga Māori principles are threaded through the project.

Applications open 1st of February 2020 and close on the 28th of February 2020 at 12:30pm.

All applications must be received by our office on the 28th of February 2020 at 12:20pm.

The kura selected to participate in Te Mahe Matauranga; National Māori Science Competition will advised by the 18th of March 2020 by phone/email.

This is our inaugural national competition and we are proud to partner with organisations to support and encourage young Māori into the amazing world of science and Matauranga Māori.
