Position – Climate Change Commission

Tena koe,

In May 2019 the Climate Change Response (Zero Carbon) Amendment Bill was introduced to Parliament.  The Bill proposes the establishment of the Climate Change Commission. As you are aware, a few months ago we sought registration of interest for Commissioners. Decisions have not yet been made regarding the Chair, Deputy Chair and Commissioner roles for the inaugural Climate Change Commission, however we hope to shortly have an update on the process.

As a valued stakeholder, we would like to make you aware of the intention to begin recruiting candidates for the Commission’s Chief Executive. This role will work closely alongside the Commission and will be responsible for leading and managing a secretariat of approximately 30 people. To find out more information about the role, please follow this link https://www.seek.co.nz/job/39951523

The recruitment of this role is being managed by a third party provider. If you know anyone who would be suitable for this role please encourage them to apply via the above link as we will not be accepting nominations for this role. Applications close at midnight on 7 October 2019.

Should you wish to opt out of further updates regarding the establishment of the Commission, please reply to this email with the word unsubscribe in the body of the text.

Ngā mihi,

Kari
