Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Kea Ngāti Tuara Trust is the post treaty settlement governance entity for Ngāti Kea Ngāti Tuara, and our hapu rohe covers Horohoro and the Tarewa area with our Rūnanga office and one of our marae, Tarewa Marae both based on Tarewa Road.
As a key member of a small close working team, this role will be responsible for the administration for the Rūnanga Board and several environmental and educational projects. Responsibilities include board secretariat duties (collation of board packages, agendas and minute taking), accounts processing, filing, hapū database data entry, updating of mailing lists, maintenance of website and facebook page, health and safety administration checks and reporting.
To be successful, you will need to be a strong communicator with an efficient work ethic and proven experience in a similar administrative/secretarial role. Evidence of competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. You will have excellent facilitation and relationship building skills and an eye for detail, with excellent written and verbal skills. A reasonable level of proficiency in Te Reo Māori is preferred, as is knowledge and familiarity in working with tikanga Māori and supporting the principles and practices of a kaupapa Māori environment. Being able to manage multiple demands including the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, using own judgment and initiative when necessary.
Based in Rotorua, this role will appeal to someone who enjoys being immersed in the finer details, enjoys the challenge of multi-tasking and working to set deadlines.
