Te Tohu Hāpori

The Ngāti Kearoa Ngāti Tuara Education Endowment Fund was established in memory of Raharuhi Pururu for his work in aiding the re-establishment of the hapū on its traditional lands at Horohoro from 1929 until his death in 1957.
Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Kea Ngāti Tuara is keen to invest in the future of the hapū by providing education grants to hapū members. The purpose of this fund is to assist students to achieve academic excellence at any University, Whare Wananga or Polytechnic in Aotearoa New Zealand.  The guiding principle underlying the awarding of grants shall be that applicants must demonstrate a high level of academic performance and also a commitment to the development of Ngāti Kea Ngāti Tuara.
