Ngāti Kea Ngāti Tuara has about 17 land and water reserves, including the Horohoro Mountain and Bush Reserve which is 586 hectares. In the past, each reserve has had its own set of trustees. A small committee has now been set up to collate all the information about each reserve and set up a new Reserves Trusts Committee which will have oversight of all the reserves.
